I was born and raised on a farm in Oklahoma. After earning a degree in Industrial Technology from Northern Illinois University, I worked thirty years in the printing and manufacturing of business forms industry.
Photography has been my passion for over fifty years. The thrill of seeing and creating a beautiful image still gives me great satisfaction. My work has evolved by exploring the new technology of digital media, and have been creating abstract images by using one or more of the following processes: digital photography, digital painting programs, HDR and digital scanners. These images are very unusual and I am continually amazed at the results, which are typically surreal and very colorful. My images are typically not traditional because I take the time to experiment with the matrix of information that is now available.
Two of my photographic compositions have won special recognition awards in the Light,Space & Time Online Art Gallery in the “Abstracts” art competition. And two more have been accepted in “Artists Gone Wild” exhibition hosted by The Next Picture Show in Dixon,Illinois.
In addition to photography, I also make and carve collectable duck and goose calls, which have won several national awards. Please see www.quackcalls.com.
