KVAL Programs

Tamara Shriver studied art at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and the American Academy of Art in Chicago. While working for an advertising studio, she returned to the American Academy of Art for further studies with watercolor instructor, Irving Shapiro.

Tamara worked for a major food company for twenty-eight years, retiring as Vice President of Graphic Arts. Because of her expertise in food packaging, she became a consultant for the following ten years. She is currently retired and living in her hometown of DeKalb, pursuing her love of watercolor painting. Her wet in wet technique with negative painting reflects a love of natural landscapes and botanicals. She has had her work juried into local gallery shows and summer fine art fairs. She is a signature member of the Illinois Watercolor Society and a member of the Kishwaukee Valley Art League in DeKalb.[/vc_column_text][vc_cta_button2 h2=”Member Gallery” style=”rounded” txt_align=”center” title=”Back to Gallery” btn_style=”rounded” color=”sky” size=”lg” position=”bottom” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kval.us%2Fmember-gallery%2F|title:Member%20Gallery|”]Our members work in a variety of media and want to share their passion![/vc_cta_button2][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″ css=”.vc_custom_1418684132986{margin-top: 20px !important;}”][go_portfolio id=”tammy_shriver”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
